Chic Color Selections- Chocolate Brown, Apple Green, and White

I feel like chocolate brown will always be a chic color for weddings. Brown can be paired with several colors, but I love this combination.

I love how this couple accented the green programs with the brown ribbon, you can even switch the colors around and have brown programs with green ribbon.

Or you can keep chocolate brown as the focal color and pull the green in with the details. I think it always looks cool, to add fruit or vegetables into your decor.

There are various ways to use this color combination, use you imagination!

The Real Wedding of Jhon & Haydee- May 16, 2009

I had the pleasure of helping Jhon and Haydee plan their May wedding. I was hired for Day of Planning services which started two months before the wedding date. Jen Bates Photography was their photographer for the day.

The couple chose red, black, and white as their colors to be used in a modern design.  The ceremony took place at Christ Church in Nashville.  The couple decided to have a custom aisle runner designed for the ceremony. 

    

 

A Village of Flowers provided all of the flowers for the wedding.

 

The reception was held at the Vanderbilt Student Life Center. A perfect location for a modern wedding.  Catering was provided by A Dream Come True.

 

After the ceremony, the bride decided to pin-up her hair with a flower for the reception.

 

All the rentals were from Art Pancake & Connie Duglin Linens.

 

Instead of a head table, the couple chose to do a sweetheart table.

For the cake, the couple wanted something grand to accent the reception. The cake was provided by The French Confection.

    

The reception lasted into the fee hours of the morning, the couple truly enjoyed themselves and didn’t want to leave.

Packing for the Honeymoon

Packing for your honeymoon can be a stressful experience. Being organized will help minimum the stress, so first make a list of everything you need to purchase for the honeymoon. Then make a list of the things you need to pack. Once you put something in the bag, be sure to mark it off the list. This will help you not forget anything at home!

It’s important to have a carry-on bag with your essentials and an extra outfit, in case your luggage doesn’t arrive when you do.

Tips for Packing:

• Bring shoes that will go with several outfits
• Bring outfits that can take you from day to night with few accessories.
• Be sure to check the weather for your destination and pack accordingly.
• Roll your clothes instead of folding them, it cuts out wrinkles and takes up less space.
• Make sure to label your luggage.
• If you are traveling over seas, make a copy of your passport.

The honeymoon is the beginning of your life as a couple, relax and have fun!

Chic Color Selections- Royal Blue, Kelly Green, and Silver

This color combination works great in the spring, but can be used any season.

If your bridesmaid’s wear royal blue dresses and carry green bouquets, silver shoes will just finish the look.

Make the cake pop, with a royal blue ribbon.

Nail Polishes for Your Wedding Day

There was a time when bride’s would only have French manicures on their nails for their wedding. Now a days, brides are breaking out and adding more color to their nails.

Instead of the French you could do a nice pale pink, here are my favorites from Essie:

Chic Color Selections- Sage Green, Deep Purple, and Antique Gold

For this color combination you can use green and gold as the main colors, and accent with the deep purple. Maybe have sage colored linens with purple floral arrangements, there are so many options. These colors are great for summer and fall weddings.
