New Addition to Creative Designs & Events

I haven't formally introduced my new Creative Director, Tadara Smith. She has been a graphic designer for more than 10 years, mainly working at magazine companies. She now focuses on custom invitations, for all types of events.

All of her work is custom, so you tell her exactly how you want things to look and she makes it happen. Here is an example of her work, I had her design the invitations to go along with the table layout I did for the Bridal Brunch. I just told her the colors I was working with & she came up with the invitation.

A silver diagonal folder enclosure with a green fabric backing. She also incorporated a peacook feather to tie in with the centerpiece. All of her work is custom, so no one else will have the same invitations as you do. Check out more of her work at http://nicolenikolas.wordpress.com/

Words of Wisdom Week 3

I feel like this weeks topic is a really good one. As a wedding planner, I have worked with several different photographers. Lately with a lot of brides wanting to cut the cost in different areas of their wedding, photography is not were it should be done. I believe a good photographer is very important to have, after your day is over, your pictures will be one of the things left to remember everything with.

Here are some ways to save on photography but still have fabulous photos:

*Choose a photographer that fits your style, not because they have the lowest rates.
*Choose a photographer that gives you the photos back, to do whatever you want with them. That way you will not have to keep paying them every time you would like a picture.
*Look for photographers that don't limit there time with you. For instance, a package with 4hrs, then you have to cram everything in those 4hrs, before they leave.

These tips will help you save time & money on a photographer.
